Respect for and protection of the environment in the production centres where we carry out our industrial activities and in the areas surrounding them is a mission which is firmly in place throughout the Uniland organisation. This is because it is integrated into the company's strategic vision as a result of its commitment to sustainable development. Our environmental policy is publicly available.
This forward-looking approach not only takes into account the requirements of current legislation but also enables us to look ahead to create a fully integrated response to foreseeable future needs.
Hence for many years now management actions have been put in place to improve the environmental impact of our production activities. We are working on the continuous improvement of processes, treatment and management of raw materials, fuel and products, and water and waste management.
To meet this commitment to the environment we embrace new systems and methods of operating, permanently seek out continuous improvement and make major investments in environmental facilities and technology. All of this is done in a planned and structured way, giving priority to actions in those aspects with a greater environmental impact. More information can be found in our Sustainability Report.
The environmental management systems in place in our production centres are based on the ISO 14001 standard.
